We engage coffee farmers to adopt new farming systems and new coffee varieties for improved productivity.

Our programme aims to promote organic farming to meet the growing world standard markets. Such strategies as the single stem system and Macadamia Intercropping with coffee are some of the approaches we adopt for maximized production. The famers are mostly women from the eastern parts of Kenya including the very productive slopes of Mt. Kenya covering Meru, Tharaka Nithi and Embu Counties.

The key focus is to engage & empower small-scale farmers to produce high quality products. The engagement provides a platform with access to new knowledge, Skills, farm inputs, financial support, processing and eventually linkages to markets. Ugima envisions to construct a multi-processing plant for processing different farm produce.
